How Does it Work?
iPass Inc., providers of Roam-to-Home, forms relationships with ISPs around the world that have the highest quality Internet access networks and that provide access in far reaching locations. Roam-to-Home connection software, which makes these networks available to you, is provided to Nortex by iPass Inc. This software facilitates secure routing of user authentication requests over the Internet between Nortex and other providers.

When you travel outside of our regular service area, you can dial into any of the worldwide Roam-to-Home access points using your Roam-to-Home connection software. You will log in with your standard user name and password (appending @ntin.net at the end of your user name, e.g. john@ntin.net). Your authentication request will be encrypted and sent over the Internet to Nortex authentication server. The server will check your information and send an authorization response (or denial if appropriate) back to the ISP you are dialing into so that you can gain access to the Internet. This process takes about five to ten seconds. Roam-to-Home tracks the time you are connected to enable us to accurately bill you for the services used.
